Sea of Thieves: The Legend of Monkey Island Reaches its Grand Finale
The highly anticipated third and final Tall Tale of Sea of Thieves: The Legend of Monkey Island, titled “The Lair of LeChuck,” is set to release on September 28. In this thrilling conclusion, players will accompany the legendary Guybrush Threepwood on a daring adventure to Monkey Island itself in pursuit of the villainous Captain LeChuck.
Since the release of the first Tall Tale, titled “The Quest for Guybrush,” players have been immersed in a captivating story filled with pirate perils and mysterious challenges. The journey began on Mêlée Island, where players discovered that it was merely a Sea of the Damned illusion designed to trap Guybrush. With the help of Corina, players freed Guybrush and ventured to iconic locations while seeking symbols of True Pirate Courage.
Now, in “The Lair of LeChuck,” players will join Guybrush as he plans his attack against LeChuck. Set sail into the treacherous Sea of the Damned once again and navigate past the imposing Giant Stone Monkey Head. Unearth three golden idols and explore a maze of catacombs leading to LeChuck’s lair, which is filled with lava and danger. Time is of the essence as players must catch up with LeChuck before he can carry out his ruthless scheme and claim victory over Guybrush and Elaine.
The third Tall Tale promises a thrilling conclusion to the story that has been building up in the previous two installments. Familiar and new faces will appear along the way, guiding players on their quest. The Legend of Monkey Island Sails, Figurehead, and costumes inspired by characters such as Kate Capsize, Herman Toothrot, and Stan are now available at the Pirate Emporium, allowing players to make a stylish entrance into the dramatic showdown.
