Nintendo Announces Maintenance Schedule for the Week of October 1, 2023

Nintendo is once again preparing to update its maintenance schedule for the week of October 1, 2023. This time, the company has planned five different maintenance periods that will affect various aspects of its gaming platforms. Whether you’re a fan of the Wii U, 3DS, or the popular Nintendo Switch, it’s important to be aware of these upcoming maintenance sessions.

Wii U / 3DS – Download of Software

1 PM PT (October 2) – 7 PM PT (October 2)
4 PM ET (October 2) – 10 PM ET (October 2)

9 PM in the UK (October 2) – 3 AM in the UK (October 3)
10 PM in Europe (October 2) – 4 AM in Europe (October 3)

If you’re an avid Wii U or 3DS gamer, take note of the scheduled maintenance for downloading software. During this period, you may experience temporary interruptions when attempting to download new games or updates. It’s recommended to plan your gaming sessions accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.

Switch / 3DS / Wii U eShops – Certain Network Services

For those who enjoy browsing and purchasing games from the eShops on the Nintendo Switch, 3DS, or Wii U, there will be specific network services maintenance during the same period mentioned above. While you may still be able to access the eShops, you might encounter intermittent issues with certain network features. It’s advisable to plan your game purchases and downloads accordingly to minimize any disruptions.

Subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online, the company’s online gaming service, should take note of the scheduled maintenance session. During this period, you may experience temporary disruptions to online multiplayer, voice chat, and other online features. If you have any important online gaming sessions planned, it’s recommended to reschedule them accordingly to avoid any frustrations.
