Stardew Valley Version 1.6: New Content Revealed
Original (7/17): It turns out that ConcernedApe isn’t done with Stardew Valley, and the game is going to be receiving another round of new content as part of version 1.6.
Technically this isn’t the first time that we’re hearing about this. ConcernedApe did confirm plans for version 1.6 in April, but mainly said it’s “changes for modders” and that there would be “much less” content than version 1.5.
Now via a new message on social media, we have a better idea as to what’s in store. ConcernedApe has thus far confirmed a new festival, new items, more dialogue, secrets, and more which has yet to be revealed. Beyond that we’re waiting to hear about more of the specifics.
Of course, the developer is working on more than just the latest Stardew Valley update. In October 2021, ConcernedApe announced Haunted Chocolatier, which you can read about here. Development on it has been paused as Stardew Valley version 1.6 gets the focus. However, once that’s done, Haunted Chocolatier will continue to progress.

New Items and Crafting Recipes
In addition to festivals and late-game content, the update will introduce a plethora of new items and crafting recipes. Winter Outfits and Rewards
The version 1.6 update will bring winter outfits for the villagers, adding a touch of seasonal charm to the game. Furthermore, players can expect the discovery of new secrets, adding an element of mystery and intrigue to the already captivating world of Stardew Valley.
While the launch timing for the version 1.6 update is yet to be announced, players can rest assured that ConcernedApe is dedicated to delivering an update that will exceed expectations.
