Latest Update for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R Introduces New DLC Character and Balance Adjustments

The highly anticipated update for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R has finally arrived, bringing with it a plethora of exciting changes. The highlight of this update is the addition of the latest DLC character, Yuya Fungami. Alongside the new character, players can also expect a range of balance adjustments that aim to enhance the overall gameplay experience.

Balance Adjustments

The update includes a comprehensive list of balance adjustments that target various aspects of the game. These adjustments have been made to improve the reliability of combos, fix unintended issues, and enhance the usability of certain skills. Here are some of the key adjustments:

Common

  • Fixed an issue that caused opponents to hit the ground instead of being lifted when hit with an attack that should lift them. This increases combo reliability.
  • Fixed an unintended issue that caused characters to slide when in contact, resulting in pushing against each other.

Recovery

  • Fixed an issue where attacks that should not allow recovery triggered recovery. This was unintentional and has been fixed.

Assault Assists

  • Fixed an issue that caused non-projectile/deployed Assault Assists to hit opponents after downing them with a Taunt. This has been resolved.

Landing after Aerial Recovery

  • Fixed an issue that prevented certain characters, such as Johnny Joestar (Mounted Mode), from using Stylish Guard after landing from aerial recovery. This unintended issue has been fixed.

Assists

  • Fixed an issue where the Assist Icon turned pink when the attack and assist buttons were pressed together while jumping. This unintended issue has been resolved.

ASB Mode

  • Added a new Part 8 Panel: “Josuke Higashikata 8 vs Josuke Higashikata 4” and fixed an issue that made the “Hit with a GHA” Secret Mission impossible to complete. This issue has been resolved.

Character-Specific Adjustments

The update also includes a range of character-specific adjustments that aim to improve their movesets and overall gameplay experience. Here are some of the notable adjustments:

Jonathan Joestar

  • Fixed an issue that prevented canceling the crouching strong normal attack if the hitbox struck the opponent towards the end of its duration.
  • Reduced the horizontal knockback of the first hit of the medium and strong attack versions of the “Scarlet Overdrive” skill to improve combo usability.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the getting hit animation to activate partway through the “This is my final Hamon!” special move when using certain skills’ Hamon versions after revival.

Dio Brando

  • Increased the distance at which the first hit of the “I’ll suck you dry!” skill pulls the opponent in to improve usability in neutral and combos.

Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli

  • Adjusted the invincible period of the second hit from the Hamon version of the “Hamon Kick” skill to improve usability in neutral and combos.
  • Changed the behavior of the “Bubble Lenses” skill, causing previously spawned Bubble Lenses to disappear when using the skill repeatedly. This balances the matchup for characters who had difficulty dealing with multiple bubbles.

Joseph Joestar

  • Fixed an issue that caused the opponent to bounce abnormally when hit by the “Now you’ve pissed me off!” special move under certain conditions.

Kars

  • Fixed an issue that caused Kars to fall to the ground in a different recoil animation when hit during the animation of his third attack in the air. This unintended issue has been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Kars to turn around repeatedly when the Aerial Dash in Ultimate Thing form finished the opponent or sent them flying in the opposite direction. This issue has been resolved.

Jotaro Kujo

  • Fixed a bug that prevented canceling the User Mode standing weak normal attack at a certain timing.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Stand to appear in a distant position from the user in Stand Mode after being hit by Risotto’s “Control iron within 5-10 meters” just after activating the HHA in User Mode.

These are just a few examples of the numerous balance adjustments made in the latest update for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R. Players can expect a more refined and enjoyable gameplay experience with these changes. Whether you’re a fan of the new DLC character Yuya Fungami or an avid player looking for improved balance, this update has something for everyone.
