Utilizing the Crimson King Coin: Discovering Its Uses and Locations in Remnant 2

Remnant 2: A Guide to Using Crimson King Coins and Obtaining the Blood Draw Mod

In the world of Remnant 2, players will come across various Quest Items as they progress through the game. While some of these items are straightforward to use, others may leave players puzzled. The game intentionally avoids providing hints for these items, encouraging players to solve the puzzles on their own. One such item is the Crimson King Coin. In this guide, we will delve into what Crimson King Coins are, how to obtain them, and how to use them effectively.

What Are Crimson King Coins?

Crimson King Coins are a Quest Item in Remnant 2. These coins are not directly associated with any specific person or location, leaving players unsure of their purpose. However, there is a specific use for these coins that players can discover.

How to Obtain Crimson King Coins

Players must defeat a specific enemy known as the Teleport Fae to obtain Crimson King Coins. This enemy does not spawn every time, so players must search for it. The Teleport Fae can be found in the Gilded Chambers, a location in Losomn. Players must defeat the Teleport Fae multiple times to obtain the required three Crimson King Coins.

How to Use Crimson King Coins

Once players have collected three Crimson King Coins, they can head to the Red Prince location in the Gilded Chambers. Interacting with the Red Prince will allow players to offer him the coins as a tribute. Selecting the “Sure, here is your tribute [Give Coins]” option will trigger a cutscene where the Red Prince expresses his gratitude. However, there is a twist. After the cutscene, the Red Prince will summon fiery minions that will attack and kill the player.

Reward for Using Crimson King Coins

Upon respawning, players will find the Bloody Steel Splinter in their inventory. This item is a crafting material that can be taken to McCabe in Ward 13. McCabe will use the Bloody Steel Splinter to craft the Blood Draw weapon Mod.

Blood Draw Mod Overview

The Blood Draw Mod is a weapon Mod that can be attached to a standard weapon. When activated, it shoots sharp chain shards that pierce up to five enemies within a 15-meter radius. Each chain shard deals 10 damage, and once they connect with the enemies, they are drawn toward the wielder and deal an even 250 damage distributed equally among all affected foes. This action also applies a 275 Bleeding status effect lasting over 15 seconds.

Upgrade Effects

Weapon Mods cannot be directly upgraded in Remnant 2. However, when attached to a weapon of a certain level, their effects become stronger based on that weapon’s level. The Blood Draw Mod will always shard to five enemies, and the Chain Pull will always inflict damage equally distributed among the targets. The table below illustrates how the effect of the Blood Draw Mod is enhanced based on the weapon level.

Level of Weapon | Blood Draw Effec

  • — | —
Weapon Level 1 | Chain shards deal 11 damage each. Chain Pull inflicts 275 damage and applies 302.5 Bleeding damage.
Weapon Level 2 | Chain shards deal 12 damage each. Chain Pull inflicts 300 damage and applies 330 Bleeding damage.
Weapon Level 3 | Chain shards deal 13 damage each. Chain Pull inflicts 325 damage and applies 357.5 Bleeding damage.
Weapon Level 4 | Chain shards deal 14 damage each. Chain Pull inflicts 350 damage and applies 385 Bleeding damage.
Weapon Level 5 | Chain shards deal 15 damage each. Chain Pull inflicts 375 damage and applies 412.5 Bleeding damage.

Following these steps, players can obtain the Crimson King Coins, use them as a tribute to the Red Prince, and unlock the powerful Blood Draw Mod. This Mod is particularly useful for players focusing on a Bleed-focused character build. With its unique effects and upgrade potential, the Blood Draw Mod adds an exciting element to combat encounters in Remnant 2.

Remember, giving the Red Prince anything less than three Crimson King Coins will be perceived as an insult and prompt an immediate fight. So collect all three coins before offering them as a tribute. Happy hunting, and may your adventures in Remnant 2 be filled with exciting discoveries and powerful weapon Mods.
