Alien Hominid HD and Alien Hominid Invasion Set to Launch on Switch in November
Exciting news for fans of the cult classic game Alien Hominid! Developer The Behemoth has recently confirmed the return of the beloved title with the release of Alien Hominid HD, an HD remaster of the original game, and a new sequel titled Alien Hominid Invasion. Both games are set to launch on the Nintendo Switch on November 1st, 2023.
A Long-Awaited Sequel
The announcement of Alien Hominid Invasion comes after a long wait for fans. The sequel was initially announced back in 2020, and since then, The Behemoth has been sharing regular updates and gameplay videos, building anticipation among players. Now, the wait is finally over, and fans will be able to experience the chaotic and explosive gameplay of Alien Hominid Invasion on their preferred console.
Alien Hominid HD: A Faithful Port
Alien Hominid HD is an HD remaster of the original game that was first launched on Newgrounds in 2002 and later made its way to the GameCube in 2004. The remaster aims to faithfully recreate the classic run-and-gun experience while enhancing the visuals and introducing local co-op gameplay. Players can expect three difficulty options, allowing both newcomers and veterans to enjoy the game at their preferred challenge level.
Alien Hominid Invasion: Chaos and Mayhem Await
The highly anticipated sequel, Alien Hominid Invasion, offers players a co-op run ‘n’ gun experience filled with chaos, mayhem, and explosions. Players can team up with up to three friends either locally or online to invade Earth and sabotage the plans of the not-so-secret Agents. The game features non-linear gameplay, allowing players to choose their own path and invade different neighborhoods. The neighborhoods are created from hundreds of hand-drawn city blocks, providing a unique and ever-changing experience with each playthrough.
Players will also have the opportunity to customize their alien character, choosing their head, boosts, and pigment to their liking. Additionally, the game introduces new mechanics such as super speed, healing, and flight, allowing players to level up and mutate their alien to gain new abilities and powers.

Both Alien Hominid HD and Alien Hominid Invasion will be available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop starting from November 1st, 2023. While the prices for the Switch version have not been confirmed yet, The Behemoth has stated that players will have the option to buy the games individually or as a bundle on Steam, so it is expected that a similar option will be available on the Switch platform.
