Activision Blizzard Reveals Plans For Bringing Games To Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard is just around the corner, and the gaming giant is already making plans for its games on Xbox Game Pass. In a recent tweet, Activision Blizzard outlined its strategy for bringing its titles to the popular subscription service.

No Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or Diablo 4 in 2023

Despite the excitement surrounding the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Diablo 4, it seems fans will have to wait a bit longer to play these titles on Xbox Game Pass. Activision Blizzard confirmed that these games won’t be available on Game Pass this year. However, once the Microsoft deal is finalized, the company expects to work with Xbox to bring its titles to more players around the world.

2024 for the Rest?

The statement from Activision Blizzard did not mention any other specific titles, leaving fans wondering if they will have to wait until 2024 for the rest. It’s unclear whether older Call of Duty titles and games like the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will arrive in 2023. Interpretations of the statement could go either way.

Older Titles May Arrive Sooner

In an update by Windows Central’s Jez Corden, it was suggested that some older titles from Activision Blizzard may actually arrive on Xbox Game Pass soon after the deal is finalized. While this contradicts Activision Blizzard’s statement, it gives hope to fans eagerly awaiting the addition of these games to the subscription service.
