The Behemoth, the renowned game development studio, has just unveiled the release dates for their highly anticipated titles, Alien Hominid Invasion and Alien Hominid HD. Both games will be available on the Nintendo Switch starting November 1, 2023.

Alien Hominid Invasion was initially announced for the Nintendo Switch back in 2020, creating a buzz among fans of the franchise. On the other hand, Alien Hominid HD, a 2D side-scroller, was more recently revealed in August, generating excitement among gamers.

About Alien Hominid Invasion

Alien Hominid Invasion takes players on an action-packed adventure where they must gather intelligence from enemies to disrupt their plans, explore the peculiarities of human life, defeat powerful bosses, and transform into various formidable alien forms to vanquish the not-so-secret Agents determined to ruin your day.

  • Assist MOTHERSHIP in invading Earth, encountering new enemies and bosses
  • Individual difficulty levels – one player can choose Friendly while another can select Insane

  • Experience a non-linear level progression, allowing players to choose their own gameplay path

About Alien Hominid HD

Alien Hominid HD, the critically acclaimed 2D side-scroller developed by The Behemoth, is now available on Steam! This title, featuring hand-drawn graphics, fast-paced gameplay, and the signature humor that fans love, transports players back in time while offering improved visuals and the same hardcore gaming experience.

In Alien Hominid HD, players must navigate their surroundings by jumping, dodging attacks, grabbing agents, and even digging underground. Armed with a trusty blaster, they can shoot at anything in their path and unleash epic explosions by hurling grenades at enemies. For those who prefer up-close combat, the game also offers the option to surprise agents with a knife attack or, for the more adventurous, to chomp their heads off.

Whether playing solo or engaging in 2-player local co-op, Alien Hominid HD provides three classic difficulty options:

  • Easy – 7 lives and continues, with two shields from weapon pickups
  • Normal – 5 lives and continues, with one shield from weapon pickups
  • INSANE – 3 lives and continues, with one-hit kills

In addition to the main game, Alien Hominid HD includes all the original mini-games for players seeking a quick break, such as 201 levels of PDA Games, Super Soviet Missile Mastar, All You Can Eat, Neutron Ball, Pinata Fiesta, and Challenge Mode.

Furthermore, the game offers Steam achievements and weekly and monthly leaderboards for all three difficulty levels. Returning players can relive the game that kickstarted The Behemoth’s success while challenging themselves to remember those pesky boss patterns.
