**[Original Title] New Xbox Update Preview Coming to Alpha Skip-Ahead Ring**

Hey Xbox Insiders! We have some exciting news for you. A new Xbox Update Preview is on its way to the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring, bringing with it some important background improvements. Although the noticeable changes to the user interface may be minimal, these updates are crucial to ensuring a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

Why are we sharing this information if the changes are minimal, you might ask? Well, we want to keep you informed about the updates coming to your device. It’s important for us to keep you in the loop, even if the changes may not be immediately noticeable.

So, let’s dive into the details of the new Xbox Update Preview!

**System Update Details:**

– **OS version released:** RS_XBOX_DEV_FLIGHT\25962.1002.230927-2000
– **Available:** 2 p.m. PT – September 29, 2023
– **Mandatory:** 3 a.m. PT – September 30, 2023

**Fixes Implemented:**

Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated Xbox engineers, we are delighted to announce that the following fixes have been implemented in this build:

**System:**

– Various updates have been made to properly reflect local languages across the console. It’s worth noting that users participating in the Preview may see some “odd” text, but more information can be found [here](https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-profile/manage-account/xbox-insider-hub-report-a-problem).

**Known Issues:**

**Accessibility:**

– Magnifier may not behave as expected when playing certain titles, but we are actively working on a fix for this issue.

**Audio:**

– We have received reports of intermittent audio issues across the dashboard, games, and apps. If you experience any audio issues, please submit feedback via “Report a Problem” immediately, selecting the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Make sure to include as much information as possible to help us troubleshoot the problem effectively.

**Keyboard Button Mapping for Xbox Controllers:**

– If you change your keyboard language settings while the Xbox Accessories app is open, the change will be reflected after quitting the app or rebooting your console.

**Manage Queue:**

– We are aware that recently installed titles may wrap to a second row unexpectedly, but don’t worry, we are working on a fix.

**Networking:**

– We are investigating reports of consoles not connecting to the network as expected on boot. If you encounter this issue, please report it via “Report a Problem” as soon as possible. As a workaround, you can wait a minute for the connection to establish or restart your Xbox from the Power Center by holding the Xbox button and selecting Restart console.

When encountering any issues or providing feedback, please utilize the “Report a problem” feature. While we may not be able to respond to everyone individually, the data we gather from your reports is crucial in finding solutions.

For additional support, you can reach out to the Xbox Insider community subreddit, where Xbox staff, moderators, and fellow Insiders are there to help address your concerns. Before posting a new issue, we recommend checking the most recent posts to see if your issue has already been addressed. Adding to existing threads helps us support you more effectively. Remember to use “Report a problem” before posting, as the information shared in both places helps us better understand your issue.
