Xbox Game Pass Is Losing 9 Games Today

Nine Games Are Being Removed from Xbox Game Pass Today

Xbox Game Pass Removes Nine Games, Marks End of Xbox Live Gold Era

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service is bidding farewell to nine games today as part of its monthly rotation, offering a diverse catalog for its subscribers. This regular removal of games allows for new titles to be added, ensuring a fresh and exciting gaming experience for users. Among the games being removed are some popular and well-received titles, providing an opportunity for players to try out games they may have missed.

A significant change to Xbox Game Pass is the termination of Xbox Live Gold service, which offered subscribers two free games every month. This move marks the end of an era, as Games With Gold had been a feature for over a decade. The service was replaced on September 14 by Xbox Game Pass Core, a new tier that offers a fixed library of 36 games. Unlike the other tiers, this library will only be updated two or three times per year.

Microsoft typically discounts the purchase price of games leaving Game Pass, giving subscribers a chance to buy them at a lower cost. This allows players who enjoyed a particular game to continue playing even after it has been removed from the subscription service.
