Bethesda Reveals Starfield’s Main Quest’s Impact on the Game
Bethesda head of publishing Pete Hines has recently shared some exciting details about the highly anticipated game Starfield. During an appearance on Bethesda Mainstream at Gamescom 2023, Hines revealed that the game’s main story mission is just the beginning of the adventure.
An Extraordinary Gaming Experience
Hines, who is an industry veteran, confessed that he had already spent around 80 hours exploring the faction-based questlines and side activities in Starfield before he even touched the main story mission. This indicates that the game has an incredible amount of content packed into it.
“We intentionally don’t talk about the main quest a lot because truthfully it is super spoilery,” said Hines. “But I’m here to tell you that this game doesn’t even really get going until you finish the main quest.”
According to Hines, it took him about 50 hours to complete the main quest, which means that players can expect Starfield to truly “get going” after approximately 130 hours of gameplay.
A Captivating Storyline
Hines expressed his enthusiasm for the main quest, stating that it is his favorite storyline from Bethesda Game Studios so far. He confidently shared, “It’s my favorite Bethesda Game Studios’ ending to a story, and I hope people enjoy it as much as I have.”
Although it remains unclear exactly what awaits players after completing the main quest, Hines may have been alluding to Starfield’s recently revealed New Game+ mode. Todd Howard, the head of Bethesda, has promised that this mode will offer a unique and exciting twist, providing further incentive for players to continue and replay the game.
Preventing Spoilers
Despite the game’s release being just around the corner, spoilers have started surfacing on social media platforms. To avoid any unintentional revelations, it is advisable for fans to exercise caution while browsing online until they have had the opportunity to experience Starfield for themselves.
