Massive Update 4.4 Drops for No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky 4.4 “Echoes” update has brought in a new race called Autophage, which consists of mechanical constructs. Players can discover their hidden sites and complete a mission to earn a customizable Voltaic Staff multi-tool. The Autophage have their own unique language to learn, and players can improve their standing among them to earn exclusive titles. There are also procedurally generated missions, customizations, and Exosuit technologies available. Additionally, the update introduces the ability to decommission multi-tools on the Space Anomaly in exchange for upgrades and resources.

Another highlight of the update is the new expeditions called ‘Voyagers’, where players can explore the universe and earn unique rewards for their character and base. These rewards often include desirable customizations like base parts, posters, and cosmetics.

No Man’s Sky has come a long way since its infamous launch in 2016, and Hello Games has continuously worked on redeeming its reputation. The “Echoes” update is just another example of the developer’s dedication to delivering new content and improvements to the game. The update was teased in a video celebrating the game’s 7th anniversary, showcasing the progress made since its initial release.

The Autophage race is a significant addition to the game, with its own narrative-based mission that explores the deep truths of the universe. Players can earn their own Voltaic Staff multi-tool through this mission and engage with the Autophage through reputation-based missions and customizations. The Autophage also offer access to new procedurally generated Exosuit technologies and cloth-based customizations.

Furthermore, the update introduces Monoliths and Korvax sites, where players can uncover secrets and learn more about the history of the Korvax and Constructs. Infusing relics with Atlantideum allows access to new stories and lore. Players can also find rare class Atlantid multi-tools at these sites in exchange for nanites.
