Exciting Xbox Games Revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2023

The highly anticipated Tokyo Game Show 2023 brought a lot of excitement for Xbox fans worldwide. One of the major highlights was Capcom’s showcase of their eagerly anticipated Xbox games. Let’s take a closer look at some of the exciting games that were revealed:

Dragon’s Dogma 2: New Gameplay Details Unveiled

Hideaki Itsuno, the Director of Dragon’s Dogma 2, took the stage to share new gameplay details about this highly anticipated action-RPG. The focus was on combat and the immersive new world that players will explore.

The game offers various vocations that players can choose from to determine their playstyle and that of their AI-controlled Pawns. Director Itsuno showcased four starting vocations, including Fighter, Archer, Thief, and Mage. Additionally, two additional vocations, Mystic Spearhand and Magick Archer, were also introduced.

Each vocation brings unique abilities and skills to the gameplay. For example, as a Fighter, players can utilize a one-handed sword and shield to balance offense and defense. Meanwhile, the Archer specializes in long-range combat with bows and arrows, allowing them to take down enemies from a distance. The Thief excels in agility and swift attacks with dual daggers, while the Mage can cast powerful magick spells for devastating attacks or support actions.

The game also introduces a new vocation called Mystic Spearhand, which combines the double-edged Duospear with unique magick attacks. This vocation offers versatility and adaptability in any situation.

Players will have the freedom to switch between vocations at the Vocation Guild, allowing them to experiment with different playstyles and party compositions. The full game will feature even more unique vocations, further expanding the possibilities for players.

Director Itsuno also unveiled some intriguing details about the game’s world. Dragon’s Dogma 2 takes place in two nations: Vermund, the kingdom of humanity, and Battahl, the land of the beastren. Vermund is a lush green landscape ruled by the Arisen, while Battahl is a rugged canyon area inhabited by the new beastren race.

In addition, the game introduces new mechanics and features. Players can now ride an oxcart for faster travel, although they should remain cautious as they may be attacked during their journeys. Moreover, the return of pitch black nights presents a challenge, as dangerous monsters appear only during nighttime. Players must tread carefully or wait until morning by resting at a campsite with a camping kit.

Environmental interactions also play a significant role in combat. For example, players can break a dam to unleash water on enemies or use the right combination of vocations to create makeshift bridges in canyon areas, providing emergent gameplay opportunities.

Exoprimal: The Wargames Evolve in Title Update 2

Exoprimal’s dinosaur action game continues to evolve with Title Update 2, set to release on October 18 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows. The update brings exciting new additions to the game.

One of the major highlights is the introduction of a new map called Ocean Platform. This offshore oil plant map challenges players with narrow scaffolding and emphasizes verticality. Players will need to utilize their exosuit’s skills and rigs effectively to navigate the map while fending off dinosaur swarms.

Title Update 2 also introduces a thrilling final mission called Escape. In this mission, players team up with the opposing squad in a ten-player cooperative challenge. They must secure and defend points on the map, improve their survival odds, and make a final rush to escape while battling overwhelming hordes of dinosaurs and neosaurs.

The update adds two new rigs to the game: the Drone rig and the Edge Strike rig. The Drone rig flies forward when deployed, causing an explosion and blinding any dinosaurs it contacts. On the other hand, the Edge Strike rig fires a blade and teleports the player to its location, unleashing a quick slash.

Furthermore, players can expect a collaboration with the Street Fighter 6 game. Bikitoa Island, the setting of Exoprimal, will feature Ryu, Guile, and Chun-Li exosuit skins, charms, stamps, emotes, and decals, providing exciting crossover content.

Season 2 of Exoprimal will also launch alongside Title Update 2, introducing a new Survival Pass with exclusive rewards. Players are encouraged to complete Season 1’s Survival Pass before the launch of Season 2. Additionally, a series of holiday events will offer special exosuit skins as rewards.

Looking beyond Title Update 2, players can anticipate even more thrilling updates. A collaboration with the Monster Hunter series is planned for Title Update 3, set to release in January 2024. This promises to deliver further dimensional integration and surprises for Exofighters.
