The Revelation at Ocala Comic Con
Cameron Monaghan, who voiced Cal Kestis in both Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, confirmed alongside Tina Inlev (the voice of Nightsister Merrin) that the team is “currently in the process” of making the next game. Monaghan shared this exciting news during a panel at Ocala Comic Con 2023.
During the panel, Monaghan also mentioned that conversations are underway for the third installment, with plans to commence development in the near future. To learn more, you can watch the entire panel discussion in the video below. The discussion about the new Jedi game begins around the 42:35 mark when the host asks both actors about their current projects.
The Future of the Star Wars Jedi Series
While it’s too early to uncover specific details about the upcoming game, including its storyline, release date, and supported platforms, Monaghan expressed his enthusiasm for what awaits fans of the recent Star Wars games.
Interestingly, this news comes shortly after Fallen Order and Survivor’s director, Stig Asmussen, announced his departure from Electronic Arts. As Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier revealed, a spokesperson for EA confirmed that Asmussen has chosen to “pursue other adventures,” and that “veteran leaders” at Respawn Entertainment will be taking the helm for future Star Wars Jedi releases.
Anticipation for the Next Entry
With both Fallen Order and Survivor receiving widespread acclaim, it’s no surprise that many Star Wars enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the next entry in the Jedi series. As fans gear up for the release, the question remains: Will Cameron Monaghan reprise his role as Cal Kestis? Only time will tell.
