# Japanese Charts: Switch Games Dominate As Pikmin 4 Can’t Be Plucked From Top

The latest Famitsu charts are in, and Nintendo’s Pikmin 4 continues to reign supreme as it spends its fifth week at the top. The fourth installment in the popular RTS-style series has sold an additional 54,904 copies, bringing its total sales figures to an impressive 721,281. It seems Pikmin 4 is breaking series records with its continued success.

Unsurprisingly, the Nintendo Switch dominates the top ten, with several other games making the list. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Minecraft hold the second, third, and fourth spots respectively. Pokémon Scarlet & Violet also climbed a few places to secure the fifth spot, possibly assisted by the World Championships held in Yokohama.

Here’s a breakdown of this week’s Japanese software charts:

The hardware sales remain relatively consistent compared to the previous week. The Nintendo Switch OLED model continues to dominate with 61,041 units sold, followed by the PlayStation 5 with 34,254 units. The original Nintendo Switch and the Switch Lite also had respectable sales, with 9,147 and 7,592 units sold respectively. In total, the Switch family sold nearly 80,000 units this week.

In contrast, the Xbox Series X|S saw a decline in sales, with only 1,097 units of the X and 230 units of the S sold. Additionally, the New 2DS LL still managed to find 97 buyers. Here are the hardware sales for the week:
