FromSoftware’s Armored Core VI Remains Strong in UK Charts, Competes with Mario Kart and Zelda

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Tops UK Charts, Beating Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

In a surprising turn of events, FromSoftware’s highly anticipated game, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, has debuted at number one on the UK Charts this week. The mecha-based combat franchise has made a strong start, surpassing popular titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

FromSoftware, known for their success with games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, has proven once again that they are not a one-trick pony. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon’s success signals the company’s ability to diversify and deliver compelling gaming experiences across different genres.

While Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon stole the spotlight, another newcomer, Immortals of Aveum by Ascendant Studios, entered the charts at number twenty-one. Despite a modest start, the fantasy first-person shooter has received reasonably positive reception, suggesting that it may gain momentum over time.

Looking at the rest of the top forty, there were no major surprises this week. Pikmin 4 has dropped several positions as expected, while LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has climbed back into the top ten, securing the sixth spot.
