Firewall Ultra, a Competitive PSVR 2 Shooter, Unveils Exciting Co-op PvE Mode

# Competitive PSVR 2 Shooter Firewall Ultra Reveals Co-op PvE Mode

Firewall Ultra, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular PSVR-exclusive shooter, is set to launch next week on August 24th. Developed by First Contact Entertainment, the game not only offers intense PvP gameplay but also introduces a new co-op PvE mode that supports up to four players.

The co-op PvE mode, known as Exfil (short for Exfiltration), adds a whole new dimension to Firewall Ultra. In this mode, players will join forces to battle against AI-controlled bots across a variety of maps. The objective is to activate certain objectives and then safely return to an evac zone for extraction.

Before embarking on a mission in Exfil, players have the opportunity to strategically plan their attack. They can choose to split up and cover more ground as a squad or stick together to ensure the safety of their teammates. The level design offers a wide range of options and scenarios, allowing players to choose between stealth and all-out warfare.

First Contact Entertainment has meticulously designed each map to accommodate both PvE and PvP game modes, providing players with new pathways and strategic advantages in each playthrough.

What sets Exfil apart from other co-op VR experiences is the intelligent AI of the enemy units. At the beginning of a mission, the bots are unaware of the players’ location and simply patrol the map. However, once the players initiate a hack or engage in a firefight, the enemy units become much more aggressive and dynamic. They will strategically reinforce their positions, flank the players, and adapt to their moves, making each encounter challenging and unpredictable.

While co-op VR experiences are undoubtedly fun, finding friends with their own PSVR 2 headsets can be a challenge. Thankfully, First Contact Entertainment has implemented both private and public matchmaking options for the PvE mode, allowing players to enjoy the game with friends or team up with other players online.

In addition to the exciting gameplay features, Firewall Ultra is designed as a live service title from the ground up. This means that First Contact Entertainment plans to provide constant updates and new content to keep the game fresh and engaging. Players can expect new maps, weapons, contractors, and even redesigns of existing locations like the shooting range and safehouse lobby environment.

Furthermore, the studio hints at the possibility of seasonal paid battle passes, similar to its predecessor, Firewall Zero Hour. These battle passes may offer exclusive cosmetics and contractors for players to unlock and enhance their gameplay experience.

Firewall Ultra is set to launch exclusively on PSVR 2 on August 24th, 2023. The game will be available in two editions: the standard edition priced at $40 and the deluxe edition priced at $60. Pre-orders are currently open for those eager to jump into the action as soon as the game releases.

In conclusion, Firewall Ultra is shaping up to be an exciting and immersive VR shooter experience with its new co-op PvE mode. The addition of intelligent AI enemies and the promise of continuous updates and content additions as a live service game will keep players engaged long after the initial release. Get ready to team up with friends or join forces with players online to take on the thrilling challenges of Firewall Ultra.
