They have recently revealed that they have been working on a VR platformer titled Max Mustard for the past three years. The game seems to draw inspiration from beloved titles such as Sony’s Astro Bot Rescue Mission (2018) and Playful’s Lucky’s Tale (2016).

The team at Toast Interactive describes Max Mustard as a modern VR platformer that combines moments of nostalgia, meaningful upgrades, and first-person interactions to deliver an enthralling gameplay experience that keeps players coming back for more.

Get ready for an immersive experience as Max Mustard promises to deliver over 40 levels, challenging boss fights, eight exciting upgrades, and more than 4 hours of gameplay. The trailer gives us a glimpse into the game’s mechanics, which seem to take inspiration from Astro Bot Rescue Mission. Players can be seen using a suction cup dart gun to solve puzzles and progress through the game.
