Bethesda Expresses Gratitude to Fans for Support as Starfield Enters Early Access

Bethesda Releases Starfield, its First New IP in Over 25 Years

It’s a monumental day for Bethesda as the Xbox-owned company launches Starfield, its first brand-new intellectual property (IP) in over 25 years. To mark the occasion, Bethesda has expressed its gratitude to the dedicated and passionate fans who have supported the studio throughout the years.

To all of you who have supported us over the many years and games, a heartfelt thank you for all of your passion and energy for Starfield. We would not have gotten to this moment without it.

It seems like forever ago that we first started talking about making a grand space RPG. It never seemed feasible, and we had been fortunate enough to create beloved games in The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. However, the idea of exploring the galaxy in ways only video games can offer was too compelling to ignore. Thus, we took the leap to create not only our first new IP in over 25 years but also our most ambitious project yet.

All of us here at Bethesda poured our hearts and souls into Starfield. Your messages of encouragement and stories of how our games have impacted you have been a constant source of inspiration throughout the challenging development process. We are deeply grateful.

Thank you for making video games the best community and entertainment form in the world. Thank you for allowing us to chase our dreams and bring them to life. Developing Starfield has been one of the most challenging and thrilling experiences of our careers, and it’s a journey we will never forget. As we conclude this chapter, we pass the torch to you, where the real journey can now begin—yours. We hope it’s as rewarding as ours. We can’t wait for you to play.

All our best, Bethesda Game Studios

Bethesda has also shared the main artwork of Starfield on social media, which appears to be signed by the game’s development team.
