Revealing EA Sports FC 24 Switch Frame Rate & Resolution

EA Sports FC 24 Confirms Performance and Resolution on Nintendo Switch

EA Sports has confirmed the performance and resolution details for its upcoming game, FC 24, on the Nintendo Switch. The game will run at a steady 30 frames per second (fps), a departure from the usual 60 fps that FIFA games have maintained across platforms. This change is due to the game running on the Frostbite Engine, marking a new starting point for the series on the Switch.

The line producer for FC 24, Doru Logigan, expressed excitement about the achievement of having Frostbite running on the Switch and the team’s eagerness to receive player feedback. Logigan stated, “Getting to this point of having Frostbite running on Switch I think is already a huge achievement for the team and we were really excited to get our players’ feedback and reactions.”

In terms of resolution, FC 24 will run at 720p in handheld mode and 1080p when docked. This ensures players can enjoy the game in high definition regardless of their preferred play style.

Switch players can also expect “full parity” in terms of live service support. This means they will receive the same level of post-launch updates, bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and Ultimate Team updates as players on other platforms. Logigan emphasized that delivering patches should be easier, ensuring that Switch players are not left behind in terms of game updates and improvements.

While Logigan couldn’t confirm whether FC 24 will be available on future Nintendo systems, he assured players that the game will benefit from the same live service post-launch as other platforms.
